Campaign-finance reports for the 3rd quarter were made public this month for statewide candidates, but not much fuss was made. Expect far more attention to be paid in 2026 as the dollar amounts - and stakes - get bigger.
There were a few takeaways from the Q3 numbers, however. Namely, it’s good to be the sitting Governor … money is unlikely to be an impediment to either Warren Petersen or Rodney Glassman in their bid to unseat Attorney General Kris Mayes … and it’s really (really) hard to raise money for the down ballot statewide races.
