Call it the “Turning Point Ticket.”
Termed-out state Treasurer Kimberly Yee (R) was revealed this week as the primary challenger of State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Horne (R). Treasurer Yee is the latest 2026 Republican running for statewide office with either implied or implicit support from Turning Point USA, the national conservative advocacy group headquartered in Arizona.
The group is moving fast. A launch rally for Congressman Andy Biggs’ gubernatorial campaign is on-tap for this weekend, while state Sen. Jake Hoffman (R-Queen Creek) - a TPUSA ally - is taking credit for enlisting Yee, as well as state Rep. Alex Kolodin (R-Scottsdale) to run for Secretary of State.
TPUSA may have help in the White House in its latest go-around to remake Arizona politics, but they also had Trump’s support in 2022 when the group’s efforts fell short.
