About Jenn
Jennifer Harris is a veteran and experienced government relations and public policy professional with over 15 years of experience at the Arizona State Capitol.
During the Ducey administration, Jennifer was the Legislative Liaison for the Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services and played a key role in developing and executing policy for the benefit of Arizona veterans and their families. In this role, she also served as the point of contact for all legislative and executive inquiries and constituent issues. Additionally, Jennifer engaged with leading organizations and individuals representing the veterans community.
Earlier, Jennifer spent a dozen years in various staff and policy roles with the Arizona State Legislature, working her way up to become a Senior Policy Advisor for the Arizona House Democrat Caucus. In this role, Harris assisted with creating the Legislative Veterans Caucus and staffed Veteran Caucus meetings. Additionally, Harris was the lead staffer for House Democrats in crafting policy and advising the Caucus as part of the 2018 Special Session devoted to the opioids epidemic.
Jennifer grew up in Phoenix, and joined the U.S. Navy in 1997. Upon receiving an honorable discharge in 2001, Jennifer earned her bachelor’s in Health Sciences from Northern Arizona University, followed by a Master’s in Public Administration (with an emphasis on Government and Public Policy) from Grand Canyon University. Jennifer’s interests include reading, listening to music at home or in live venues and spending quality time with her daughters, family and friends. She lives in West Phoenix with her husband and three dogs.
